My name is Brenda Olschlager and I will be your child's teacher this year. 
I was born in Fort Walton Beach, FL. My father was in the U.S. Air Force for 22 years so I attended schools in several different states and in Japan. I attended Okaloosa-Walton Jr.College and received my A.A. degree. I then went on to FSU and received my B.S. in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Elementary Education. I hold a National Board Teaching Certificate that I earned in 2001. I am certified in Reading and ESOL. I began my career in teaching right here at Buck Lake Elementary when it opened in 1989. I have been teaching kindergarten or first grade for 31 years. I have been married for 37 years to my husband, Mike and we have three boys: Matthew, Patrick and Mikey. I have 2 older sisters and 1 younger brother. I can't wait to learn about you and your family. Welcome to the class!
