Dear Buck Lake Community,
Thank you for being a tremendous support to our school. It never ceases to amaze me just how dedicated our community is. I truly believe that we have the best teachers, staff, parents, and students in Leon County. It is a privilege to be your Principal.
I would encourage you to join our Listserv if you have not already done so. This is a great way to stay informed about the happenings at our school. You will receive regular communication such as our Principal’s Newsletter and PTO Dispatch, as well as other timely updates. I also invite you to Like Us on Facebook.
We take great pride in our home-school relationship. Parents and family members are encouraged to visit the school, to volunteer in classrooms, to eat lunch with their child, and to be involved. Please remember that a new Volunteer Application must be done each year for you to volunteer in the classroom or to attend field trips with your child. These applications are processed at the district level and can take up to two weeks for clearance to be granted. Taking a few minutes at the beginning of the school year to complete this task will save everyone the frustration of not being cleared when you want to participate with your child’s class.
Please consider joining our PTO. The PTO Board meets monthly. This is a great group of committed parents and teachers. We need your help in guiding our school. This is a terrific way to get involved and we are always looking for more hands and voices.
If you ever have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, Mrs. Quiggins and I are available via email or by calling the front office. We look forward to continuing to serve this great community. Thank you for all your support.
