Just so you know … the April 1st deadline is for personalized copies (picture, name, hard cover, etc.). A limited quantity will be available for sale after the deadline.
From Mr. Wetherington:
Parents/Guardians,
As the warmer weather approaches us, the urge to drop everything and go to the beach can be overwhelming. I was hoping you might bear something in mind as you plan vacations, getaways, trips etc. Students should not miss school if it is at all avoidable. Attendance and excessive tardiness is tied not only to your student’s success with regard to grades and upcoming testing but it also greatly decreases the teacher’s ability to teach effectively to all students. When a child is absent not only is the child falling behind on that day’s lesson but upon return, the teacher must often slow down to remediate or take time away from the whole class to catch the student up. This “extra work” for the teacher(s) can be compounded quickly if multiple students are absent on different days at various levels of instruction. This can indeed have a negative effect schoolwide because of lost instruction. We thank you and ask that you consider these thoughts when making plans going forward.
