I hope everyone had a fun, relaxing and restful Spring Break! 

I can't believe we are in the fourth nine weeks.  

Daily Folders

Please remember to have your child bring his/her blue folder to school every day. Please check your child’s “Daily Folder. 

 Homework Folders

I will be distributing u4w1 reading homework on Wednesday, March 27th. U4w1 reading homework is due on or before Tuesday, April 2nd. 

Every student should be reading an AR book(s) of his/her choice weekly so he/she can meet his/her goal for the second nine weeks. AR points are earned by taking tests at school on books he/she has read on his/her level or above and earning at least 80%. Students can take AR tests on books from our classroom library, school library, public library, or books from home as long as they are AR and on or above his/her reading level. 

Thursday, March 28^th- STAR Assessment  

*Please remember to sign your child’s AR weekly reading log located in the back of the blue daily folder. Every Monday, his/her folder should be signed.

Peek at This Week and Next Week

Reading- Today, we started U4W1. Our class is focusing on what makes parts of the world different from one another and why are there mountains in some places and deserts in other places? The skills for u4w1 are rereading, comparing and contrasting ideas, and capitalizing proper nouns. The u4w1 comprehension, spelling, and vocabulary assessments are scheduled for Tuesday, April 2^nd. The u4w1 writing assessment is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3^rd.

Math- We will continue chapter 7. We are learning about the values of coins and how to find the total value of a group of money. We will also learn how to tell time on analog and digital clocks. I will continue to send home reteach sheets with students who need extra support.

Science/Social Studies-Learn about weather.
