 Daily Folders

Please remember to have your child bring his/her blue folder to school every day.

Please remember to sign your child’s AR reading log located in the back of the blue daily folder.  Every student should be reading an AR book(s) of his/her choice weekly so he/she can meet his/her goal for the second nine weeks. AR points are earned by taking tests at school on books he/she has read on his/her level or above and earning at least 80%. Students can take AR tests on books from our classroom library, school library, public library, or books from home as long as they are AR and on or above his/her reading level.  

Homework Folders

Homework- Math and reading homework will be sent home on Monday, February 26^th.

Friday, March 9^th- Last Day to meet AR goal and end of the 3^rd nine weeks.

Monday, March 12^th-Friday, March 16^th- Spring Break

Monday, March 19^th- Teacher Planning Day

Tuesday, March 20^th- Students return

Reading- 

We will begin Unit 3 Week 3 in Wonders on Monday, February 26^th. We will be focusing on the ways people can help their community. We will also talk about how people solve common problems. Our comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, and writing assessments are scheduled for Monday, March 5^th and Tuesday, March 6^th. 

Math- 

We will begin chapter 8 on Monday, February, 26^th.  In this chapter, we will learn about inches and feet. We will also learn about measuring tools and showing measurement data.

Science/Social Studies 

Continue learning about Native Americans.
