 Daily Folders

Please remember to have your child bring his/her blue folder to school every day.

Please remember to sign your child’s AR reading log located in the back of the blue daily folder.  Every student should be reading an AR book(s) of his/her choice weekly so he/she can meet his/her goal for the second nine weeks. AR points are earned by taking tests at school on books he/she has read on his/her level or above and earning at least 80%. Students can take AR tests on books from our classroom library, school library, public library, or books from home as long as they are AR and on or above his/her reading level.  

Homework Folders

Homework was located in your child’s pink folder last week and is due on or before Tuesday, February 20th.

 Reading- 

We will begin Unit 3 Week 2 in Wonders on Monday. We will be focusing on what we can see when we look in the sky. We will discuss the Earth, the sun, the moon, and the stars. Our vocabulary and comprehension assessments are scheduled for Tuesday, February 20^th and Wednesday February 21^st.   

 Math- 

We will continue chapter 7. This chapter covers money and time. Please work with your child at home to count, pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. In addition, we will begin learning how to tell time on analog clocks and digital clocks.

Science/Social Studies 

Continue learning about Native Americans.
