I'm proud to serve as the Principal of DeSoto Trail Elementary School. I am a graduate of Florida State University, with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I am also certified in Exceptional Student Education. I started my teaching career 31 years ago working for Leon County Schools as an ESE teacher. I have 10 years of experience as an ESE teacher, 2 years as a Reading Coach, and have spent the past 19 years as a school administrator. I was an Assistant Principal at Nims Middle School and Deerlake Middle School, and I have served as the Principal of DTES for the past 17 years. 

I am married and have 2 children. I enjoy reading, traveling, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. I love the FSU Seminoles and support our family's legacy at Eckerd College.  I am also a big Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, and Tampa Bay Lightning fan.
