Our Annual Trailblazer Fitness Adventure was a HUGE success. The money raised goes towards audio technology that will be installed in all of our classrooms. Our goal this year was $42,000, but we surpassed that and raised over $45,000. Wow! Thank you for all of your support of this fundraiser!
We are continually registering new students throughout the year. Please see registration procedures under the "Our School" tab on our website. You may also contact our office for more information regarding the documents needed to complete registration for students who live in our school zone or who have been approved by the School Choice office to attend DTES.
In order to ensure you are receiving the latest school information, please sign up for our Listserve. The link is located on the left-hand side of our webpage. Also, be sure to double-check with our registrar, Jamie Yeargan, to make sure we have your correct contact information. This is particularly important if the district office needs to send a mass phone message out to our families.
Be sure to check out our FLICKR page for pictures of our Trailblazers who were hard at work and having fun during the school year. Also, the school calendar on our website is a great way to keep up with all of the events happening on campus and upcoming Share Nights that are held at various business partner locations. Another great way to stay connected on a daily basis is to watch our morning news show, WDTS. Click on the link to our Youtube channel. There you can find videos of not only WDTS, but a variety of events that take place at DTES. See below on our webpage for a list of social medias where you can find DTES highlights and updates.
Our regular office hours are 7:45am to 4:15pm. School starts at 8:30am and is dismissed at 2:50pm. Student supervision is from 7:45am to 3:15pm. If students arrive on campus between 7:45am and 8:00am, they must report directly to the cafeteria where staff will be able to provide supervision. At 8:00am, all students are able to go to their morning play areas.
ALL car-rider traffic will be at the front of the school. Only Pre-K parents, with assigned parking passes, are able to park at the back of the campus. There may be traffic congestion in the morning, and I appreciate everyone's cooperation throughout the school year. Please be prepared to make adjustments in your schedule to ensure your children are at school on time. In addition, we ask for your patience, as there may be long lines to pick up your children in the afternoon. Be reminded that there are safe buses available for our Trailblazers to use, so you may want to utilize this option to avoid the much anticipated school traffic. One additional note is to please refrain from using your cell phones when utlizing the car pick-up/drop-off line. We want to keep all Trailblazers safe.
A reminder that the front gates will be locked at 4:30pm, and the back entrance of school, on Velda Dairy Road, will be used for all EDEP and after-school activities pick-up.
