    I am now a barber and working in a barbershop part time, at least until I can get enough people in to cut hair so I can go full time. Just finishing barber school up here in April!

    BONNER BUCKNER ('16) 

    A roadway design engineer here in town and I’m helping design the widening of Bannerman road.  Employed with RS&H whose office is right above Coosh's on Thomasville road.
    I graduated from FSU (‘20) with a civil engineering degree and now I am a roadway engineering associate. I am working to earn my professional engineering license, which requires 4 years of experience in a full-time engineering position.

     Is completing his final year at the University of Florida college of veterinary medicine. He hasn't used his trumpet much since finishing his tour with the Marching Chiefs in 2010.

    CAITLIN BALDAUFF (BOLINE) ('07) 

    Since then, I went to Florida State University, graduating with a BS in Family and Child Science. I was in the cymbal line of the big 8 in the marching chiefs all four years of college. I was subsection leader in 2009 and 2010. I also marched four years of drum corps on cymbals. I marched teal sound 2008, and spirit of Atlanta 2009-2011. I was subsection leader 2010 and 2011 at spirit. I received the Zildjian outstanding cymbal player award 2010 and 2011.

    CATALIN GRANT ('18) 

    In the second semester of my MA program at FAU and by this time next year i will have completed a thesis and will officially be an anthropologist! Aside from that, i took up Brazilian jiu-jitsu in my senior year of undergrad and have kept up with it for close to two years now. After I graduate next year, I plan to join the peace corps and chase down my dream of working with NGO’s in the humanitarian sector.

    Current lives in Fort Riley, Kansas, with her husband Donovan Thompson. They have a son, Carter, and a son, Myles, on the way. Charlene earned her AA degree at TCC and will be attending Florida State in the fall. Donovan deploys in a month for Afghanistan. We miss home and all the wonderful people.

    I'm an electrical engineer involved in power system design and have been married for a little over two years. My wife and I moved to Pittsburgh after graduating from UF and have loved the friends we've made up here (and the weather, though it can get a bit chilly).

    DANA BOEBINGER ('08) 

    Got her PhD in speech & hearing bioscience & technology last year from Harvard.  She is now doing a postdoc at university of Rochester in Rochester, NY.  She is studying where language and music are processed in the brain.  Her husband, Michael Bunne, got a master's in mechanical engineering at Stanford and is working at Vicarious Surgical to build a surgical robot.

    I am currently residing in Prosper, TX (suburb north of Dallas). Have been here since 2014. I live here with my wife – Dina (formerly LCHS band’s own Dina Converso – she played clarinet) – as well as with our two daughters (Luciana – 3 yrs; Isabella – 11 months).  I work for Hilton corporate in revenue management for hotels. Have been with Hilton for 7 years now. My parents still live in Tallahassee.

    Is a visiting instructor in ethnomusicology at Emory University in Atlanta, where she also is the director of the world music program and director of the Emory gamelan ensemble. She plans to graduate with a doctorate in musicology this fall 2013 from FSU.

    I am married (as of Feb 25 of this year!) And living in England. I’ll be over here for a little over two years. Before that, I was working at a women’s pregnancy center in Tallahassee. And before that, I attended FSU where i was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta and the flying high circus. I graduated with a 4.0 dual degree in hospitality and family & child sciences. I minored in religion and education.

    LAWRENCE BARRINER ('06) – 

    Was head drum major of the Marching Timberwolves during the fall 2006 football season. He played trombone from middle school through his early college years. He is currently an undergraduate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the department of urban studies and planning. He is interested in EPP (environmental planning and policy) and IDG (the international development group) and would like to help underdeveloped countries develop with practical sustainability in mind.

    Got his PhD in materials science in 2020 from Georgia Tech and did his postdoc at Oak Ridge National Lab in Oak Ridge, TN.  He was hired there about 6 months ago to do electron microscopy.  He got engaged in October!

    Resides in Ferndale, Michigan (just outside Detroit). He plans to marry his fiancée, Sharon, on 9/14/13. Matt works for a cancer hospital and is seek to be certified in gemology. He spends most of his free time fishing, learning circus stuff, or swing dancing.

    I am currently entering my 6th year of teaching, and currently teach 7th and 8th grade social studies in Orlando, Florida. I'm also working on my masters in educational leadership at the University of Central Florida, with hopes of eventually becoming a school administrator. My husband, Chris sever (also an alum), is a computer engineer at Lockheed Martin in Orlando, Florida. We bought a house a few years ago in Merritt Island, Florida, and are both very focused on our careers

    MICHAEL NEWELL('04)

    "Michael is married to the former Bethany Brautigam ('04) (also a Chiles alum). They have two children, Claire (7) and Samual (4); they currently reside in Okinawa, Japan. Michael has been in the marine corps for 14 years and holds the rank of staff sergeant. He has been with his current unit, the 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force band (also in Okinawa), for the last three years and serves as the small ensemble leader, where he will remain until 2022.
