- Mariah is a Tallahassee native and she did her first two years of high school here at Lawton Chiles High School and then transferred to Amos P. Godby. She graduated from Tallahassee Community College and later went on to Lively Technical to pursue her certification in Culinary Arts . She enjoys taking trips to the beach and all things cooking. In the ESE classroom, she enjoys attending electives with the students. Tuesdays are her favorite because they spend the day cooking. She loves the look on the students' faces as they learn or improve a new kitchen skill.

- My husband, Roger, retired from the U.S. Navy after 28 years of service as a Commander/Combat Helicopter Pilot. My son Major (2023) and daughter Macey (2024) are  students at Chiles.

- As an ESE Paraprofessional I assist the ESE teacher (Mr. Kurlander) in general daily classroom activities for the students. I provide instructional support, implement behavior management plans, collect and monitor performance metrics, care for the students' physical, emotional health and safety, affirming their abilities, and promoting dignity in all relationships.
