    ·         Two Proofs of Residency (i.e. lease agreement, mortgage statement, utility bill, phone bill or driver license)

      This is the active link for NEW student registration.  This can be sent to parents who inquire about moving here or will not be in Tallahassee until later in the summer.

    This is for:

    • Any student applying to LCS for the first time AFTER 2015 and did NOT go through school choice.

    • Students NEVER in LCS schools (including charter and PK)

      • Do NOT reenroll a student if they are active in PK or any student who shows currently inactive.

      • These students will be picked up like a new enrollment in the system.

    • Students moving in from out of state.

    • Students who have always been in private school.

    Parents will follow the online directions to create and account and then complete the registration for either the remainder of 1819 or for next year 1920.

    The students will show up in the applicant school to be picked up by your site when they bring the required documents needed – proofs of residence, birth certificate, etc…

21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC)

  • 21st Summer Program

     

    The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) initiative is a key component of the No Child Left Behind Act. Authorized under Title IV, Part B, of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, the specific purposes of the federal law are to:

    o    Provide opportunities for academic enrichment, including providing tutorial services to help students, particularly students who attend low-performing schools, to meet state and local student academic achievement standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and mathematics.

    o    Offer students a broad array of additional services, programs, and activities, such as youth development activities, drug and violence prevention programs, counseling programs, art, music, and recreation programs, technology education programs and character education programs, that are designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program of participating students.

    o    Offer families of students served by community learning centers opportunities for literacy and related educational development.

    o    Leon County Public Schools is pleased to announce the return of the 21st Century Program Fall/Spring Academic programming for students! 

     Students will have the opportunity gain literacy and social skills through programs, and activities, such as youth development activities, drug and violence prevention programs, counseling programs, art, music, dance, drama, health and recreation programs, technology education programs, certifications and character education programs.

     The program is FREE of charge and snack or supper will be provided to the students. The program will begin on August 13, 2018 and ends through May 31, 2019. The 21st CCLC Program will follow the 2018-19 School District Calendar. The After School Program will be open during Early Release Days and closed during the districts scheduled Holidays and Teacher Planning Days. 

     Registration is limited at each site, please contact the site coordinator to register today!
