FAMU Rattlers visit Bond After several years of debate concerning a new school on the Southside, the decision to merge two schools into a new home was made in 2002. In December of 2004 Bond students and staff were relocated to the Wesson campus where the school operated separately from Wesson.  Construction on the new Bond Elementary began in the spring of 2005 and was completed and ready for occupancy on August 2006. Bond Elementary School opened its doors in August of 2006 nestled in the heart of Tallahassee's Bond Community. Bond Elementary School is a staple of this historic neighborhood and community.
