  • National Red Ribbon Week

    National Red Ribbon Week is October 23 – 31st.  Student council representatives will be on the news next week sharing the history behind Red Ribbon Week and stressing that Real Super Heros Make Good Choices!

     

    The following are the dress up days to celebrate next week:

     

    Monday, October 23rd – Superheros Team Up to Make Healthy Choices – dress up like a member of a superhero team or wear a team jersey.

     

    Tuesday, October 24th – Superheros Stick Together –Dress just like a friend or friends (maybe even the whole class)

     

    Wednesday, October 25th – Superheros Use Their Heads – Wear a hat

     

    Thursday, October 26th – Superheros Are YOUnique – dress wacky tacky

     

    Friday, October 27th – Roberts’ Superheros Make GOOD choices!– wear red (for red ribbon week) or they can wear their Roberts shirts.

  • No Time For Bullies (Gilchrist Music Video)

    Mrs. Otero at Gilchrist Elementary loves to incorporate music into her classroom. The anti-bully song her student perform is catchy, but after the song is over, her students talk about what they've learned.

  • The Heart of a Leon Lion: (VIDEO)

    Mark Feely at Leon High School takes pride in the student led goal to raise money and awareness for local cancer services. Mr. Feely said, "because they do what they do...I'm still around" Students at Leon will take a culminating check of their efforts to the Tallahassee Memorial Cancer Center on Friday October 27th.

  • NO PLACE FOR HATE

    Student Leaders & Administrators recently participated in Anti-Defamation League Training. LCS is the first and only county in the state to participate in this program. The training was funded entirely by contributions from community members—approximately $19,000.

  • FSU Opening Nights Tour Stops At Apalachee Elementary (VIDEO)

    FSU Opening Nights K-12 School Tour stopped at Apalachee Elementary today. Students enjoyed a free concert from The New 76ers. The musicians taught them about the history different instruments and songs.
