  • The Trent 2020

Roberts Elementary is proud to host the 11th annual Trent 10K, 5K and 1M run. This event is held to honor one of our students, Trent McElroy, who lost his battle with childhood cancer in 2013. Trent’s strength and courage touched us, his school family, and it is an honor to carry on his wish of supporting children who are fighting this disease. All proceeds from The Trent go to the Trent’s Touch Foundation, which assists local families battling pediatric cancer. Please see the attached flyer for detailed information and for ways that you can help.  Visit www. for more information.

We are very excited to hold our second annual Caldecott Carnival on Tuesday, January 28, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Our students have been learning about the Caldecott Award, which is given annually to the best illustrated children’s book. From a selection of 18 choices, your child will have the opportunity at our Caldecott Carnival to do three amazing art activities based on some of these award winning books. All of the activities have been shown on our morning news show this week, so your child probably already knows what he/she wants to do! This is a drop-in event. In other words, you move through your selected activities at your own pace. Within the two-hour time frame, you come when you can and leave when you must. You will have the opportunity to pre-order Marco’s Pizza so that dinner isn’t an obstacle. Please see this flyer for more details, including the order form for pizza, which must be returned to school by Thursday, January 23. The link to sign up for the activities is listed below. Please individually register each child. We can’t wait to see you!
