    Head Coach- Bawana Perry
     
    Coach Perry attended and played basketball in Wisconsin and furthered her education in Florida.  She attended Florida State University where she walked on for the women's basketball team, but vacated her placement on the team due to family obligations. She graduated from FSU in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education and Physical Education.  Coach Perry is currently the Physical Education teacher at Ruediger Elementary School.
     
    In 2010, she started Blazin’ Heat Academics & Athletics of Tallahassee, an AAU boys basketball organization. The organization has allowed Coach Perry to coach, teach, and mentor many youth in Tallahassee and surrounding areas.

    3-time YBOA National Champion (AAU)
    2-time National Championship Runner-up (AAU)
    2-time National’s American Champion (AAU)
    3-time YBOA State Champion (AAU)
    1-time YBOA State Runner-up (AAU)
    3-time Leon County Middle School Basketball Champion (RAA)
     
    Coach Perry's first year at Raa, she coached the RAA Rams Boys Basketball team to an undefeated season and won the Leon County Championship with a 12-0 record. 
    In 2021 & 2022, Raa made it to the championship game and lost in close match-ups.
    In 2023, the RAA Rams won the Leon County Boys Championship.
    In the fall of 2024, for the first time coaching girls, Coach Perry’s team went undefeated for a 12-0 record and won the Leon County Championship.
     
    Coach Perry's coaching career has allowed her to increase her growth, knowledge, and understanding of the sport of basketball and love for working with children. Her goal for the season is to help each player improve their basketball I.Q., become fundamentally sound with their basketball skills, increase their love for the game of basketball, and have a winning season.
