Orchestra

  • The Orchestra program at Raa provides students with instruction on bowed string instruments- the violin, viola, cello, and bass. Students will learn to play the instrument from the very beginning in Orchestra 1, or continue developing their skills in Orchestra 2 and 3. Students participate in public performances, field trips, and concert assessments.

InstrumentsStudents in Orchestra will need to have a quality string instrument. Raa has some instruments for student use, or students are encouraged to rent from Playground Music Center.

    Why should you join Orchestra?

Orchestra is only offered at a handful of schools in Leon County, which means that Raa is one of the only places where students can learn these amazing instruments. Our Orchestra director, Dr. Sahely, takes care to provide each student with the best instruction that will help them excel.
