  • SCMS Family

This is, by far, the most challenging year our teachers have faced with the addition of Canvas, block scheduling and the hybrid instructional model.  Our teachers, of course, have met the challenges put before them because they are professional educators and they love and care deeply for each student they are privileged to serve.  Our SCMS PTSO asked each of our teachers to create a “favorites” list so parents/students/community members, if they wished, could shower them with a little bit of love and kindness throughout the school year.  I also want to add that a heartfelt, encouraging note is ALWAYS the most appreciated “gift” to a teacher.  Please click the link below for a peek into what brings a smile to our teachers’ faces.

    “MY FAVORITE THINGS”

In addition, SCMS has a LEADER OF THE PACK recognition for any adult on our campus who has demonstrated: respect, responsibility, helpfulness, positive attitude, etc.  This nomination form has also been provided for you.  You can send this form back to me, Sue Rishell, at rishells@leonschools.net and the form will be part of a weekly drawing.  Thank you for your consideration in supporting and encouraging the most exceptional professional educators I have ever had the privilege to learn beside!
