SCMS Family,  Please keep abreast of school activities through the Swift Creek (SCMS) website, http://www.leonschools.net/swiftcreek , and through the weekly Wednesday SCMS ListServ.  Our SCMS ListServ is posted each Wednesday on our SCMS website or you can receive it directly by going to the “Join or Drop SCMS Parent ListServ” under the Quick Reference section posted on the right-hand side of our SCMS web page.

This year our district is also excited to launch a brand new technology platform- LCS FOCUS. LCS FOCUS will become our new gateway for all of your child’s information. This new and improved platform will replace the old parent portal. Information about signing up will be sent home August 27.  We are excited about all of the new features that will be available to you with LCS Focus including an app for your phone, grades, attendance, and other important school information.

I hope you will communicate with your student’s teachers whenever you have a question, concern, or just as importantly want to thank them for their daily effort and commitment to provide your student with the very best education within Leon County Schools.  Other commitments we ask you to make that are vital to your child’s academic success, are to check your child’s student planner on at least a weekly basis so you are aware of assignments and homework, and, set a time to weekly sit down with your child to look at their grades/assignment completion in each of their six courses on your family’s LCS FOCUS site.  Our SCMS FOCUS Facilitators, Whitney McCune mccunew@leonschools.net or Bryan Howard howardb2@leonschools.net can assist you with any questions regarding LCS FOCUS.

    Regards,

    Sue Rishell, Principal

2018 - 2019 ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Hurricane Relief

    Hurricane Michael Relief Donations

The SCMS family supports those families experiencing devastation in the Panhandle area from Hurrican Michael.  Please help us provide them with the much needed supplies for these families in need.  Water, diapers, baby formula, canned goods, batteries, battery operated fans, toiletries, personal items, and dog and cat food, just to name a few.  A good rule of thumb is to donate anything that can be used when camping.

Please bring your donated items to the SCMS front office between 8:15am and 4:30pm any day next week.  The last day for donations is Friday, October 26th.
