I was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, and attended Woodville Elementary in the first grade. I graduated from the University of South Florida Magna Cum Laude with an Elementary Education degree. In addition, I have a Master's of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education.
I have taught grades fourth and sixth which has given me the unique experience to know where my fifth graders are coming from and where they need to go. Most of my teaching years have been spent in fifth grade, which was my favorite grade as a student. I have taught in Leon County for over twenty-five years, and have been a teacher at Woodville Elementary since 2010. I feel truly blessed to be able to teach because it is my passion.
