Economics is a required course to graduate from any high school in the State of Florida. It is a ½ credit course so students only have it for ½ the year. Students will be taught the basic concepts of the American capitalist system; including supply & demand, the role of business and labor, the role of government and the effect of globalization.

The course structure and focus is on the 34 course benchmarks as determined by the State of Florida Department of Education.
