Mr. Christopher Miller

Mr. Chris Miller has been teaching full-time at Chiles since 2007 and before that date he split his time between Chiles and Deerlake Middle School, where he began teaching in 1996.  At Chiles he teaches Orchestra, Advanced Guitar, A.P. Theory, and Theater classes.

He has been a member of the Tallahassee Symphony for 21 years, serving 15 of those years as principal violin II.  He also performs regularly with Tallahassee Ballet, Tallahassee Civic Chorale, and as a chamber musician in the Red Hills String Quartet.  Mr. Miller received much of his musical training at DePaul University in Chicago where he completed a Bachelors Degree in Violin Performance.  He also holds a BA degree from FSU in American Studies and a Master of Music Education degree from FSU.

Mr. Miller is Music Director of Tallahassee Youth Orchestras and conducts that organization's Symphony Orchestra.
