AFJROTC Cadet Promotion System
-
Cadet Airman
- Be enrolled in AFJROTC for at least six weeks.
- Have worn the uniform at least 80% of required uniform days (including PT days).
- Have no suspensions.
- Have a 75% grade average in AFJROTC up to promotion test.
- Participated in one community service event since the beginning of the current school year.
- Can recite the Air Force Core Values.
- Can correctly execute the following basic drill in-place movements:
- Attention
- Left Face
- Right Face
- About Face
- Fall out/in
- Present Arms/Order Arms
- Parade Rest
- At east
- Rest

Cadet Airman First Class
- Be in the grade of Cadet Airman for a minimum of six weeks.
- Have worn the uniform every required uniform day (including PT days) since putting on Amn.
- Have no suspensions.
- Have a 75% grade average in AFJROTC up to the promotion test.
- Participated in at least (1) community service event since the beginning of the current school year.
- Passed the Cadet Rank Identification Test with a grade of at least 80%.
- Can Recite the Air Force Corps Values.
- Demonstrate with proficiency the basic drill in-place movements listed above for Amn, plus the following drill commands:
- Forward March/Halt
- Open/Close Ranks March
- Left and Right Flanks
- Column Left and Right
- Change Step March

Cadet Senior Airman
- Be in the grade of Cadet Airman First Class for a minimum of six weeks.
- Have worn the uniform every required uniform day (including PT days) since you became an A1C.
- Have no suspensions.
- Have an average grade of 'B' in AFJROTC up to your promotion test.
- Have community service events totaling (8) hours since the beginning of the current school year.
- Pass the Senior Airman exam with a grade of at least 80%.
- Demonstrate with proficiency the drill requirements listed above for A1C, plus command a flight in the following drill commands:
- Forward March
- Open/Close Ranks March
- Left and Right Flanks
- Column Left and Right
- Change Step March

Cadet Staff Sergeant
- Be in the grade of Cadet Senior Airman for a minimum of six weeks.

Have worn the uniform every required uniform day (including PT days) since you became a Senior Airman.Have no suspensions.Have an average grade of "B" in AFJROTC up to promotion test.Have community service events totaling (12) hours since the beginning of enrollment of AFJROTC.Pass the Staff Sergeant exam with a grade of at least 80%.Lead a flight with the 30 Command Drill sequence with no more than (3) incorrect commands.

Cadet Technical Sergeant
- Be in the grade of Cadet Staff Sergeant for a minimum of six weeks.
- Have worn the uniform every required day (including PT days) since you became a Staff Sergeant.
- Have no suspensions
- Have an average "B" grade in AFJROTC up to promotion test.
- Have community service events totaling (18) hours since the beginning of enrollment of AFJROTC
- Pass the Technical Sergeant exam with a grade of at least 80%
- Lead a flight with the 30 Command Drill sequence with no more than (2) incorrect commands.

Cadet Master Sergeant
- Be in the grade of Cadet Technical Sergeant for a minimum of six weeks.
- Command a flight to the 30 Command Drill sequence with no more than (1) incorrect command.
- Have an average "B" grade in AFJROTC up to the promotion test.
- Have worn the uniform every required day (including PT days) since you became a Technical Sergeant.
- Score a 90% on the MSgt Promotion Exam.
- Have no suspensions.
- Have at least (20) hours of community service since the beginning of enrollment in AFJROTC.

Cadet Senior Master Sergeant
- Be in the grade of Cadet Master Sergeant for a minimum of six weeks.
- Command a flight to the 30 Command Drill sequence with no more than (1) incorrect command.
- Have an average "B" grade in AFJROTC up to the promotion test.
- Have worn the uniform every required day (including PT days) since you became a Master Sergeant.
- Score a 90% on the SMSgt Promotion Exam.
- Have no suspensions.
- Have at least (22) hours of community service since the beginning of enrollment in AFJROTC

Cadet Chief Master Sergeant
- Be in the grade of Cadet Senior Master Sergeant for a minimum of six weeks.
- Command a flight to the 30 Command Drill sequence with no missed command.
- Have an average "B" grade in AFJROTC up to the promotion test.
- Have worn the uniform every required day (including PT days) since you became a Senior Master Sergeant.
- Score a 90% on the CMSgt Promotion Exam.
- Have no suspensions.
- Have at least (25) hours of community service since the beginning of enrollment in AFJROTC

Cadet Officer
Cadet Officers are appointed and promoted by the SASI based on:- Seniority in AFJROTC.
- Attitude.
- Demonstrated excellence in previous positions
- Potential for satisfactory performance in the new rank and position
- Command a flight to the 30 Command Drill sequence with no missed command once every six weeks
- Have worn the uniform every required day.
- Have an average "B" grade in AFJROTC up or higher.
- Pass a Cadet Rank test with a 100%
