    Did you know that students who participate in art and music classes tend to score higher on standardized tests?  That is not the only reason to like the arts though.  Here at Sealey Elementary, we use a variety of media such as tempera paint, watercolor paint, clay, markers, and oil pastels.  We will learn about the elements of art through different fun projects following the state standards.  Art time is a great time to show your creativity and talent and be inspired by everything around you. 

    Classes will have art at least once a week.  There are aprons in the art room for the students to wear on "paint" days.  However, if you know your child's art day, you might want to dress them accordingly with an older shirt in case we are gluing or using markers.
