We understand that many of our parents and students have seen posts on Instagram with a “screen shot” claiming that our schools have received threats. This screen grab is from a Tallahassee Democrat article from January 25, 2016. Our schools are among the safest places in our community and we have received NO credible threats to our campuses. We will continue to do what we can to improve, but we need your help in stopping the spread of rumors.
Community business leaders saw, first-hand, that LCS Principals rarely have the opportunity to sit down during a typical school day! By acting a "Principal for the Day" the business leaders were able to meet students, see donations at work and identify needs within our local schools.
2:50 PM STEM Club Meeting
Springwood Elementary says NO to Bullying and will be focusing on anti-bullying and bullying prevention activities during the month of October. During Red Ribbon Week, special anti-bullying messages will be included on the morning show and on one of the days, all students, staff and faculty will wear blue to show that we Stomp Out Bullying at our school. Anti-bullying posters will be created and displayed around the school and students will be asked to sign an Anti-Bullying Pledge that will also be displayed at the school.
Please join us in saying NO to Bullying at our school and help us make Springwood a Bully Free Zone!!
