When you first click on the sign to open it, read the directions. You start KA by taking a short typing assessment. After that, you can choose from 3 different activities to practice your typing skills. Work on KA for about 5-10 minutes. Then exit out by clicking on the door with the arrow in the upper right hand corner.

If you have not finished the lessons from last week (#2-8), start where you left off, and work as far as you can today, up through lesson 10. If you do not get all the way finished with all of the lessons through #10, that is completely fine! You will have plenty of time to catch up! Just work during your Special Area time.

  • Dear 4th Graders and Families,

Boys and girls, this week you are starting Learning.com. When you login, you will notice that it looks very different from previous years. Once you get into the actual lessons, you will notice they are very similiar. You will login using your student number as the username, your 5 digit lunch pin as the password, and then type Leon in the bottom box where it says district. A drop down box will appear, and you can then select "Leon County Schools". The first sign on the pathway is Adventures in Keyboarding(I call it Keyboarding Adventure). We are not doing that this week. You will complete Lessons #2-8. I know that seems like a lot when you think about the lessons in previous years. However, the first few lessons are short videos (only 1-2 minutes), followed by three questions. These are not graded - you will earn stars for completing the activity. Lesson #8 is the first graded lesson - it is on Online Safety and Cyberbullying. You need to try your best to earn a 70% or higher on this lesson. You have until the end of the year to do this, so no worries. If you have any problems or questions, email me at williamsj1@leonschools.net.

    Ms. Williams
