I am proud to be teaching here at John G. Riley Elementary School. This is my fourth year teaching second grade. I am originally from Virginia, though I spent a lot of my youth in New Jersey and Georgia. I moved to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University and have been here (mostly) ever since. I became a teacher after having worked in management most of my career. Before I became a teacher, my wife (who is a also teacher) would come home and speak so passionately about her successes and struggles. I was struck by how much she loves her job. It wasn't long before I decided to change my career path. It was one of the best decision that I've made.
