Password Reset
At times, a student may have an issue with their username and password not working. Please check that they are using the following format:
- Username: studentnumber@edu.leonschools.net
- Password: lunch pin number
Student numbers and lunch pins can be acquired by contacting your student's home room teacher. You can reach the teacher by finding their Remind code on the Grade Level Assignments pages or by their email address.
- "What if my student's username and password does not work?"
-
ClassLink
ClassLink provides access to most of the other applications necessary for your student to complete their grade-level assignments.
- The highest-quality digital resources we use are accessible through ClassLink and should be single-sign-on if they require an account (i.e. you shouldn’t need a separate username and password for them). If you are having trouble signing in to ClassLink, try the steps below.
- On a computer, use the Chrome browser. You will need to have the "ClassLink OneClick Extension" installed in Chrome for single-sign-on to work in some cases.
The ClassLink icon is shown to the right, and is also located in the top right corner of each page. After clicking the icon, you can click “Login with Username and Password”. The username will be in this format: StudentIDNumber@edu.leonschools.net. The password is the student’s 5-digit lunch PIN.
- On an iOS or Android tablet or phone, use the ClassLink Launchpad app. Use the same username and password listed above. i-Ready requires a separate app to be downloaded in order to run on an iPad.

Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is a robust cloud networking tool. We are using Teams to establish live connections between teachers and students providing instruction. Teams is available on multiple operating systems: Windows, Mac, and Android/Chromebook devices are supported.
Ways Microsoft Teams Can Be Accessed
- The BEST way Microsoft Teams can be used is by downloading and installing the application to a computer. The desktop application provides the most beneficial user experience and includes more features. Download for desktops/laptops: Windows | Mac | Chromebook
- If you cannot download the application, you can access the web-based version of Teams through a web browser. We strongly suggest using Google Chrome, with Microsoft Edge next. To access Teams by web browser, visit the Teams website and use your student's login information. More help is provided below:
- Instructions for Access (PDF)
- "How to Access Microsoft Teams at Home" (YouTube: credit DeSoto Trail Elementary)
- "Using Microsoft Teams" (YouTube: credit DeSoto Trail Elementary)
- "I have 2 or more students who need to access Teams."
- Desktop App-based: It is possible to login and out of the Teams app by clicking your student's account icon in the top right corner of Teams. From here, one user can be signed out so that another can login. The icon defaults to the user's initials, but can also be changed to a picture or an avatar of their choosing.
- Web browser-based: Google Chrome's Incognito Window feature can be helpful for switching between student accounts.
- While in Google Chrome, you can launch an incognito window by pressing Ctrl + Shift + N together on your keyboard, or by clicking the vertical ellipses icon in the top right corner of Chrome and selecting New Incognito Window from the menu.
- When the dark grey window launches, you can manually visit teams.microsoft.com. Follow normal login procedures afterwards (student username and password for access).

Remind
Remind is a Leon County School's authorized parent/teacher contact application. Remind is a safe, secure way for students to connect with their teachers and school-related events, classes, and activities all in one place. The software does not collect or share any personal student information, which is important to us. Best of all, it is very easy to use and will be a great resource for teachers and students.
Parents: Connect With Your Student's Teacher
On each Grade Level Assignments page, you will find each teacher's office hours and Remind codes. Open the Remind application on your computer or other device and enter the teacher's code to be connected to their classroom. The Remind application can be logged in via computer browser or through the available apps on Google Play and Apple App Store.

Accelerated Reader
Accelerated Reader is a great resource to keep students motivated to read and ensure they are reading carefully, for good comprehension. While we are away from school, students can take AR quizzes at home. Please make sure students are quizzing completely independently. As well, it is recommended that students re-read non-fiction books 2-3 times before taking their AR quizzes. AR can be reached through the ClassLink after a student logs in.
Additionally, AR Book Find can be used to check whether a book is quizzable or not in the Accelerated Reader system, as well as determining the reading level of the book. If you need to know your student's current reading level, please contact their teacher.

myOn: a vast digital library, includes AR Quiz Links
myOn is an online library of books that is being incorporated with Accelerated Reader (AR). Students can access myOn from ClassLink, find and read a book out of myOn's vast library, and then take an AR quiz on the book that they read.
Here are the steps that should be followed:
- Access myOn in ClassLink.
- Browse the library and select a title. Please check the title to ensure that it is an AR quizzable selection by clicking the book's "info" tab.
- Read the book. It is recommended that non-fiction titles be read at least twice before taking a quiz.
- When finished reading the title, you may see an option for both a myOn quiz and an Accelerated Reader quiz. Choose the Accelerated Reader quiz.
- Complete the quiz - your score should record in AR!
*Note: myOn has links to quizzes incorporated into its system. If your book has an AR quiz, the quiz will be available after you read the book. Be sure to select the AR quiz and not the myOn quiz.

i-Ready
i-Ready is a daily instruction program we use at Sabal Palm. It is tailored to your student’s academic needs. As long as we are in distance-learning mode, it will be accessible from home. Students should work in i-Ready on their own, but you can explain concepts to them if they get stuck. Please refrain from over-coaching or giving away the answer; it’s important that the computer can accurately track which skills a student still needs to practice and which skills they have mastered. It is appropriate for students to work in i-Ready for up to 40 minutes per day (20 reading, 20 math). You can access i-Ready through ClassLink.
