  • Jane Floyd Bullen  Learn at Home for Everhart Students
We recognize that his is a challenging time for us all.  We want to provide support to you and your child as you try to provide for continued instruction in the home.  The district has provided us with work packets for each grade level and we have some additional supplemental matereials that you can use to provide meaningful, engaging and fun instruction.
You can find these printable materials under the Parents & Students tab on the Everhart website.
In addition you can also use the following links off of our website:
Homework Calendar - an activity for each day of the month that reinfroces skills
Group by Group Blog - choose a book and the sensory activities tied to that book
Tumblebooks - go to the Technology tab on our website and click on the Student Tech Links.  Username: GES  Password: 0506READ
We also have paper copies of resources available at the school for pick up if printing those is difficult.
Teachers will be in touch with you beginning March 30th about individualized instruction and plans for your child.  We ask that you do what you can to help keep your child learning and engaged.  Setting up a routine with your child and using visual reminders about that schedule and trying to stick with it (to include break times) will help.  We know this is a challenge for us all but we have each other.  We can do this!  It is going to be "Owlright"
We truly have Owlmazing students and staff that are Super Heroes!
    UPDATE - As of April 1, 2020

Parents- We hope that you and your families are doing well in the midst of the pandemic. We have a few updates:

By now you should have heard from your child's teacher. If you haven't already, you should be hearing from them by the end of the day. If you do not, please contact Jane or LaToya at 488-5785.

Assignments for the next two weeks have been prepared for completion and are ready for pick up here at the school. Beginning on Monday, April 13th, teachers will be assigning assignments for their classes. Although most assignments are digital, there will be a hard copy of all assignments available at Everhart. If you have a device and do not have the internet, Comcast Internet Essentials is available. If for some reason transportation is a issue, please let us know and we will mail your assignments to you.

Report cards are available for pick-up. You can also access your child's grades on FOCUS. In the days to come, you will be asked for a date and time that is convenient to discuss individual distant learning plans for your child. If you have not had your annual IEP meeting or your ESY meeting, they will also be scheduled.

If your child receives OT, PT, Speech and Language and/or Vision Services- a version of these services will be made available to you. Options on how to receive these services were provided by your child's teacher during your call. If they were not, please contact Jane or LaToya.

Most teachers will be using TEAMS for distant learning and all teachers will be using TEAMS for IEP meetings. Teachers will be providing you with a log in and password so that you will have access. Passwords for UNIQUE, our standard daily curriculum will also be provided.

Remember, we are no longer on a extended break. Classes have officially begun. To ensure that you meet academic promotion requirements, participation in assignment completion is needed. Teachers have office hours daily. If you need assistance, please contact them through TEAMS, they are available and eagerly ready to assist you!

If your family is in of need assistance from social services, please contact us here at the school so that we can get guidance from our social worker to help you.

This is a new way of work for all of us. What is MOST important to us is your well-being. We will work through this and with you. Education is important but so is your health, well-being and sanity:) If we can be of any assistance to you and your family, please let us know.

    -With LOVE

    Jane Floyd Bullen, Principal
    LaToya Montgomery, Vice Principal

  •  Make sure you sign up for a Parent Portal account.  This is the best way to keep your student's information current with the school and gives you access to important school information.  Please see the teacher, registrar or an administrator to get your initial access to an account.  This will be a much easier way to give the school information and you won't have to complete numerous forms by hand!
