  • Jane Floyd Bullen Instruction for Gretchen Everhart School Students

Students and Staff are Out of this World!

Exceptional Instruction and Learning Even from a Distance!

We recognize that this is a challenging time for us all.  We want to provide support to you and your child as we provide instruction to students either Face to Face (Brick and Mortar) or through the Everhart Digital Academy (remotely).  Either way teachers will provide instruction based on the individualized needs of each of the students.
We are puttling into place a number of new practices that will help us all stay safe and well.  Please look at the link on this page: Safety Considerations at Gretchen Everhart School, for a listing of those items.  Every staff and student will have a protective face shield in addition to a mask to wear at school.  We will ask all parents who drop off and pick up their child to wait outside the front office (6 feet apart from others) and a staff member will come to assist you with your child.  We will not have visitors or volunteers at the school site during fhe first nine weeks of school.
We have put additional supplemental materials that you can use to provide meaningful, engaging and fun instruction on our website. You can find these printable materials under the Parents & Students tab on the Everhart website.
In addition you can also use the following links off of our website:
Homework Calendar - an activity for each day of the month that reinfroces skills
Group by Group Blog - choose a book and the sensory activities tied to that book
Tumblebooks - go to the Technology tab on our website and click on the Student Tech Links.  Username: GES  Password: 0506READ
We also have paper copies of resources available at the school for pick up if printing those is difficult.
We ask that you do what you can to help keep your child learning and engaged.  Setting up a routine with your child and using visual reminders about that schedule and trying to stick with it (to include break times) will help.  We know this is a challenge for us all but we have each other.  We can do this!  It is going to be "Owlright"
We truly have Owlmazing students and staff that are Super Heroes!
Updates to school reopening plans for the district are available on the Leon County School website and on our website, through our listserv and through information sent to families as soon as information is available.  We hope that you and your families are doing well in the midst of the pandemic.

If your family is in of need assistance from social services, please contact us here at the school so that we can get guidance from our social worker to help you.

This is a new way of work for all of us. What is MOST important to us is your well-being.  Education is important but so is your health, well-being and emotional health. If we can be of any assistance to you and your family, please let us know.

    -with LOVE

    Jane Floyd Bullen, Principal
    LaToya Montgomery, Assistant Principal

  • The Florida Department of Education is working with school districts to gather information on how well parents think their child's school is partnering with parents of students with disabilities, and would like to include your input.  Your responses will help guide efforts to improve services and results for children and families.  This survey is for parents of students with individual educational plans (I.E.P.s) receiving special education services during the 2020-2021 school year.  All information provided will remain confidential.

The survey window is open and will close on May 31, 2021.  Click the following link to access the survey:

Your feedback is important in helping the state and local school systems continue improving educational programs for children with special needs.  Thank you!

  • Make sure you sign up for a Parent Portal account.  This is the best way to keep your student's information current with the school and gives you access to important school information.  Please see the teacher, registrar or an administrator to get your initial access to an account.  This will be a much easier way to give the school information and you won't have to complete numerous forms by hand!

                                            Congratulations to Everhart's
