Say No to Bullying
Chaires Elementary works to ensure every child is in a safe learning environment. Any person who is concerned about a bullying issue may complete the LCS Bullying Report form and return it to the school, where the Assistant Principal and Guidance Counselor will immediately conduct an investigation.
Fifth Grade Human Growth and Development
Dear Parent or Guardian:
As a part of the State required curriculum, students in the fifth grade classes at our school will be studying the Leon County approved Human Growth and Development/Puberty Education Curriculum. This curriculum is tentatively scheduled to begin on April 20th, 2018 to meet that requirement. The curriculum meets the requirements of Florida Statue 1003.42. It also is in compliance with the Florida Statue 1003.46. Instruction is appropriate for the grade and age of the students and reflects current theory, knowledge, and practice.
When we asked the Tallahassee Police Department and Leon County Sheriff Office for help, their response was amazing. We appreciate each officer who works every day to keep our students and schools LCS SAFE.
