Fifth Grade Human Growth and Development

Dear Parent or Guardian:

As a part of the State required curriculum, students in the fifth grade classes at our school will be studying the Leon County approved Human Growth and Development/ Puberty Education Curriculum.  This curriculum is tentatively scheduled to begin on May 5th to meet that requirement.  The curriculum meets the requirements of Florida Statue 1003.42.  It also is in compliance with the Florida Statue 1003.46.  Instruction is appropriate for the grade and age of the students and reflects current theory, knowledge, and practice.
