Technology & Information Services – Overview

At Leon County Schools, our mission is simple: empower every student and employee with the tools, access, and support they need to thrive in a modern, connected world. Technology & Information Services (TIS) leads this work by building a secure, reliable, and innovative digital ecosystem that strengthens teaching, learning, and operations across all 50+ district sites.

We believe technology should remove friction, expand opportunity, and make learning accessible anytime, anywhere. Whether it’s the classroom, the front office, the data center, or the bus loop—our job is to ensure the right systems work seamlessly behind the scenes so students and staff can focus on what matters most.

Our Vision

TIS envisions a district where technology:

  • Enhances learning through personalized, data-driven instruction
  • Connects students and teachers to high-quality digital tools and resources
  • Extends learning beyond the school day through secure, mobile-friendly access
  • Strengthens operations and safety through modern infrastructure and cybersecurity
  • Supports innovation by continuously evolving with new capabilities and practices

Technology is never static—and neither are we. Our work is rooted in continuous improvement, long-term planning, and a deep commitment to supporting our schools and community.
