2019-2020 Cell phone policy


     Upon arrival on SCMS campus, student cell phones must be turned off and out of sight until 9:25AM. Beginning at 9:25AM until the last bell rings at 3:50PM, all student cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off and stored in lockers unless permitted for use by the administration or teacher for instructional purposes.

     Students who violate this policy shall be subject to established disciplinary measures. School employees shall confiscate any cell phone or electronic device visible, heard or used during the instructional day without teacher/staff permission. All confiscated phones or electronic devices will be turned in to the front office, labeled with the student's name. A phone call will be made to the parent to retrieve the cell phone from the front office.
