Helping people and personal fulfillment are hallmarks of the Fitness, Health & Nutrition Pathway. Students will explore different components of health (physical, emotional, social, and nutrition), and will have the opportunity to take a variety of courses including Yoga, Health Opportunities through Physical Education (HOPE), Basic Healthcare Worker, Nurse Aid, Advanced Home Health Aide, Agriculture Science Foundations and Horticulture.
SAIL’s 11th and 12th-grade students have the opportunity to dual-enroll in Lively Technical College’s Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and take courses on our campus. The Certified Nursing Assistant program prepares students for employment as nursing assistants, nursing aides, and orderlies, nurse aides in nursing homes or nurse aides, orderlies & attendants. Students will perform nursing skills in clinical and/or simulated laboratory settings under the supervision of a Lively instructor who is a certified registered nurse. This program begins in a student’s 11th grade year.
