About this Opportunity:
The Tallahassee Housing Authority (THA) is seeking vendors and contractors to form an updated “Contractor Pool” formerly known as a “Small Works Roster.” The purpose of this Contractor Pool is to have a ready list of prequalified trades for future work and opportunities. Note: inclusion in the Contractor Pool does not guarantee any future work with THA.
At a minimum, THA seeks businesses that provide the following trades or services: roofing; gutters; flooring; cabinetry, masonry; plumbing; electric; HVAC; cleaning services, including carpet and fire; mold and mildew remediation; rehabilitation or renovation services, including 504 retrofits; window & screens; septic tank; painting; environmental services; concrete; paving; fencing; tree removal; pressure washing; and lawn service. Other trades or services are welcome to respond as well, as this list is not inclusive.
Additional Details:
Prior to performing any work over $2,000, all contractors must supply THA with valid certificates of insurance, as required by the Form HUD-5370 General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, in the amounts stipulated below:
- Commercial General Liability
Commercial General Liability Insurance with a combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage of not less than: $500,000 per occurrence for contracts less than $25,000 or $1,000,000 per occurrence for contracts $25,000 and over.
- Automobile Liability
Automobile Liability Insurance with a combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage of not less than: $500,000 per occurrence for contracts less than $25,000 or $1,000,000 for contracts $25,000 and over.
- Workers Compensation Insurance
Workers compensation Insurance is required by the State of Florida for any business performing work within the State in which the firm hires/pays employees directly.
THA encourages Section 3 Businesses and Disadvantaged, Minority or Women’s Business Enterprises to respond.
THA reserves the right to update the Contractor Pool at any time and requires current participants to update their information in order to remain active in the pool.
