Mrs. Fish
My name is Dara Fish, and I am looking forward to an another amazing year at Roberts Elementary! Let me tell you a little about myself.
I'm a native Floridian, having been born and raised in Jacksonville. I attended the University of North Florida, where I earned my BA in Elementary Education in 1985. That was an exciting year for me! I graduated in May, got married in June, and began teaching fourth grade in September. After twelve years at the same school, I decided to move schools and teach sixth grade. Five years later, my husband was transferred to Tallahassee. After teaching middle school for two years, I came to Roberts where I have been ever since.
My husband and I have two children. Our daughter, Emily, is also a teacher. She is married and lives here in Tallahassee. Our son, David, served five years in the Navy and is now living in Alaska working for the Department of Fish and Game. We don't have kids at home anymore, but we do have furry children - two dogs, Annie and Zoey, and two cats, Xena and Alli.
A few years ago we bought a camper, so we love camping around Florida and south Georgia. Traveling the beautiful roads in and around Tallahassee on our motorcycle is something we like to do on weekends. We also like to kayak. There are so many rivers to explore around our area! Our house is a work in progress, and we always have some kind of home improvement project going on. We spend a lot of our spare time on those projects. Thank goodness that my husband is so handy! Some of my other hobbies are reading and cooking.
