• Welcome. My name is Dr. Harry Rotter and it is a pleasure to be working with your child. This is my eleventh year teaching at Pace and it has been both a challenge and rewarding. Subjects that I teach are Earth-Space Science, Physical Science, HOPE, Careers,Integrated Science, and Biology.
I grew up in Brooklyn, New York where I graduated from public school. I have an A.B. degree in Philosophy and a M.Ed. in Behavior Disorders from Valdosta State University. My terminal degree is a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology that I obtained in 1999 from Georgia state University. My dissertation involved an experimental study on aging and memory. Overall, I have been teaching in the public school system for 40 years with 30 years of teaching experience in Georgia at all levels. I taught in Atlanta, Tifton, Homerville, Covington, and Thomasville. My last position was in Thomasville  at Southwest Georgia Technical College where I coordinated a dual enrollment program for Thomas Central High School. During this time, I retired from Georgia and began teaching at Pace. In addition to my educational career, I served 23 years in the Army Reserves and retired in 2005 as a Warrant Officer Four from Special Operations Command Joint Forces Command. During my years with the U.S. Army Reserves, I was deployed during Desert Storm, Operation Joint Guard (Bosnia, Hungary, and Croatia), and Operation Iraqi Freedom (Baghdad). I enjoy traveling with my wife and we look forward to celebrating 45 years of marriage. In addition have three children and four grandchildren.
I look forward to working with you and your child and I anticipate an excellent school year. If at any time you have a question or concern, please feel free to contact me.
