The 2017-2018 school year has begun and we are as busy as ever. Your involvement as a parent is such a vital part of your child’s success that I invite you to call, visit, write, e-mail, or send a smoke signal, in order to get the information you need.

My goal for your child is to help him/her to experience success at their fullest potential.  I plan to keep you informed about what we are learning and will give suggestions on things that can be done at home to reinforce our class experiences.

This year every child in my class is being given the opportunity to learn in the least restrictive environment (LRE).  This means that they’re needs are being met in a setting which is academically, socially, and physically integrated into peer appropriate education.  I will be serving them as a resource to their regular setting to assist in their progress.  They have access to the regular reading curriculum and are included with their peers.  I am working with classroom teachers to offer alternative teaching strategies for the students we share. All of the teachers are happy and enthusiastic about your child being a part of their classes.

I know this year is going to be one of growth and productivity.  So... lets get busy.  We have a lot of work to do.

                                        See you around campus!
