• Hey everybody!

My office hours will be from 10:00 am till Noon.

I am encouraging you all to sign up with Remind- (you can find this on the Cobb Hompage)

Look for the tab "Learn at Home", then click on "How to Files" then "How to acess Remind'.

Remind is like texting and an easy way to communicate with me.

Email is also an excellent way to communicate.   radyg@leonschools.net

PE Assignments are posted on Teams.

I found an informative article that I would like to share with you. It is from Edward Laskowski, M.D. from the Mayo Clinic.

How much excercise a day do children need?

Guidelines from the Department of Health and Human Services say that children and adolescents age 6 and older need at least an hour a day of physical activity. Most of the hour should be either moderate or vigorous activity or aerobic activity. Vigorous activity should be at least 3 days a week. Children should also participate in muscle-strengthening and bone strengthening activties at least 3 days a week. Many common school age activities such as jumping rope cover all the bases at once. Organized sports such as soccer, basketball and dance are a great way to stay fit also. But team sports or dance aren't the only options.

Parents should try and exercise with their child to better their own health while helping their child develop sound execise habits. Get creative as you search for activities. Nature hikes, riding a bike or simply turn on some music and dance together.

Incorporating physical activity into everyones daily routine sets the foundation for a lifetime of fitness and good health for everyone.
