Leon County's leader in adult education
For more than 40 years Adult & Community Education (ACE) has been leading the way in providing adult education for persons 16 years and older in our community. We are proud to be part of Leon County Schools!
We offer classes in four areas: GED® preparation, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), High School Credit retrieval, Adult High School (AE) and Adults with Disabilities.
GED® Preparation is our largest program and provides a terrific way for adults to earn a high school diploma. ACE has the largest GED® prep program in the area and offers classes for persons at all academic levels. ACE is also an official GED® Testing Center for Leon County.
Individuals who pass the GED® are awarded a State of Florida High School Diploma. Persons interested in taking the GED® test are encouraged to enroll in classes to prepare. Our classes can save test takers time and money.
Each year ACE serves some 2,000 students in more than 10 locations throughout Leon County. Our teachers are highly trained and have a strong desire to help students reach their educational goals. They are known for their patience and have a long track record of helping students succeed.
Volunteers are an essential part of ACE programs and are needed throughout the year. Business partners are needed to support programs in many aspects including serving as guest speakers and assisting students with employability skills, incentives and encouragement. Anyone interested in becoming an ACE volunteer or business partner, please call 850-717-2020.
