About Mrs. O'Brien

I love teaching!  I graduated from Flagler College with a B.S. in Elementary Education and have taught first and third grades in the Leon County School District for 11 years. 

I have been married for 10 years and have 3 daughters, Kylee, Brittney and Linsey.  I enjoy going to the movies, shopping, the beach, spending time with my family, and watching the Noles!

My Goal

My goal is for each child to achieve the highest level of personal growth they can this year in first grade. It is very important that children solidify their reading skills this year. There is a big jump in expectations from kindergarten to first grade in all subject areas as the children are expected to work more independently, and will also receive grades the first grading period. I look forward to working with my families to help the children do their best this year to make first grade a wonderful year for all of us!
