Week of May 4, 2020!
Welcome!
I have enjoyed and appreciated the time to connect with all of you on the phone, through e-mail, messaging, and video conferencing. I've learned a lot about each one of you and feel that we have connected on a new level. Thank you to all students and parents that have been putting forth effort to continue to work on assignments!
Please continue to work on your assignents. If you are working by packet, please do every item that you can.
On May 5th and 6th, Tuesday and Wednesday, from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 p.m. Student/parents may drop off their packets in front of the school. There will be a box on a table near the stop sign near parent drop off/pickup.
If you drop off your packet during this time, please know there will be other opportunities in the near future.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE FRONT OF YOUR PACKET!!!!
Also, put your intitials on each of the following pages. If anything happens, this helps us match the packet with the student.I want to review a couple of items:
Just a few things:
1. I provide help sessions for individual students. Please call me to set up a time.
2. Students who do not have internet access should call the school if you have not recieved any packets. The number is: 850-488-2087
3. I am using Microsoft Teams. You can access this from your classlink account. This tool really helps us when working one-on-one.
4. Check your FLVS to determine your pacing. You can also find your recommended pacing on this web page. You may also contact me to determine the correct pacing.
The packet will be graded and will take the place of FLVS assignments. Your grade will be updated on Focus periodically as you complete each packet, but you can also call me to check your grades.
As always, I am happy to help you. You can reach me by phone at (850) 583 -1251 Mon-Friday 1:30-3:30 OR Wednesday 4-6 pm. Please feel free to e-mail me at anytime. I will be calling all students each week to review pacing, grades, and plan for the next week. If there is a contact day or time that works best for you and your parent, please let me know.
If you cannot reach me for any reason, you can also call Mrs. Folsom at (850) 320-8026.
Our office hours are:
Mrs. Folsom - Mon - Friday 9:00 - 11:00 A.M.
Mr. Austin - Mon-Friday 1:30-3:30 OR Wednesday 4-6 pm
Mr. Domen - 12:00 - 1:00
Remember, if you call and we don't pick up, leave a message. As long as you leave a message, we will call you back. Please remember to say the following:
Your name
A good time to contact you
A good number to contact you
I will not call you back if you do not leave a message. I need to know who I'm calling back.
I look forward to talking with you soon! I will be sending more e-mails and messages that will further explain pacing and grading throughout the week.Sincerely,
Mr Austin

Welcome!
We are now starting week 3 of our distance learning. By now, you shuld have heard from your teachers via phone, e-mail, flvs, or another method and have started on your assignments. If you have not heard from me, it means that I have been unable to reach you. I need you to contact me ASAP!!!
As you go through the lesson, remember to follow our normal procedures. Read through each lesson, take notes on each lesson, and complete the assessment. It is very important that you contact me for help with any lessons or login issues. We are now on a distance learning program which means that time is critical to completing assignments. You will need to contact me by phone or e-mail to schedule a DBA and for test passwords.
Some students are ahead and can continue to move forward. However, please understand that in terms of updating grades, i will update the assignments for their assigned week.
Notes are highly encouraged, however you are no longer required to complete notes for a grade. I can send you a digital copy of the notes through e-mail if you'd like. You have the option to complete notes or IXL assignments for classwork grades. You must choose one of the two to receive a classwork grade. To be graded, the notes can be dropped off at the school or you may e-mail me a picture (of all pages) or provide a scanned document. Please remember to send me a message stating if you are dropping anything off or providing me with a digital copy of the notes.
Please schedule your time so that you can complete assignments each week. Remember that you can follow the pace at the bottom of the Announcements Page or work ahead. I will be happy to submit your final grade as soon as you complete the course. All courses should be completed no later than May 29.
Students who do not have internet access should call the school and schedule a time to pick up a packet of work. This will be graded and will take the place of FLVS assignments.
