I am the 6th Grade IB Prep Math teacher, 6th Grade Gifted Education teacher/Contact, and Robotic Team Sponsor (Go Falcon 1 and Falcon 2). I joined the IB Prep program in 2015 and intend to be a Fairview Falcon until I retire (and even after)! I hold a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University (1983) and a Master of Science in Special Education (2003) from Florida International University in Miami, Florida.

Prior to joining the IB-Prep team, I taught in Miami-Dade County for 15 years. As a teacher, in Miami-Dade County, I taught middle school math grades 6-8, Varying Exceptionalities and inclusion middle grades math for 12 years, and high school Honors Algebra I and Honors Geometry for 3 years. I have been teaching 6th grade Pre-Algebra at Fairview and recently became the faculty sponsor of the school's Robotics Club. I am a strong supporter of participation in academic competitions, especially math and robotics competitions, and encourage students to challenge themselves, both in my class and in extra-curricular activities.
