Philosophy of Education

I believe children should be respected as individuals regardless of socio-economic status or ability.  All children can learn and succeed with goals and teaching strategies that fit their needs and learning style.  When educators are sensitive to social and cultural diversity children thrive.  Teaching methods based on research and best practices produce positive outcomes.  Teachers who provide a safe and warm environment encourage growth in academics, independence, and positive social interactions.  Schools should prepare students to become critical thinkers, using skills that enable them to succeed in an ever changing world.
