These are pics of the best flags from the English 3 and English 3 Honors students' What Does It Mean to Be an American? Projects.
They had to create their version of an American flag that either
- had five quotes and images from social media/history and 5 quotes from personal contacts about what it means to be an American OR
- quotes, descriptions, and images concentrating on freedom or patriotism. The tone, mood, and theme of their poster was up to them, and they chose themes ranging from diversity to social justice to the power of the people. Students then presented their posters to our class.
Take a look! Thank you to everyone who gave a student a quote, too!
