Julie Clark Lawson graduated from Florida State University in 1996 with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Economics. After a brief stint working in the business world with Club Corp. Mrs. Lawson began volunteering with students who had special needs and instantly knew she needed to be a teacher, finding her passion with students who had disabilities. Mrs. Lawson began her teaching career as an Exceptional Student Educator in Atlanta at Dunwoody High School in 2002. She moved to Tallahassee in 2003 where she went on to be an ESE teacher at Riley, Leon, Montford and The Success Academy. While at The Success Academy, Mrs. Lawson climbed the ranks from teacher, to Dean, to Assistant Principal. Mrs. Lawson received her Masters in Educational Leadership from St Leo University in 2013 and has served as an Assistant Principal at The Success Academy, Deerlake and now Nims. When not at school Mrs. Lawson can be found watching her two boys play golf and baseball or working on home projects with her husband.
