STUDENT CHECK OUT
Roberts Elementary has an open flexible schedule. Students are allowed and encouraged to come to the media center throughout the day, as allowed by the teacher.
Kindergarten students may check out one book at a time. Students in first through fifth grade are allowed two books at a time. These numbers may be adjusted for special needs. Students are encouraged to select books that are appropriate for their age, reading ability and interest. Books may be kept for a two-week period and may be renewed as needed. If your child misplaces a book, you will be asked to sign a note indicating that you are aware of the missing book. This will enable your child to continue checking out library books while we look for the missing book. If the book has not been located by the end of the year, you will be asked to pay for a replacement copy. Our books are purchased from vendors that specialize in library-bound books which are made for heavy usage. For that reason, we ask that you send in money for missing or damaged books rather than purchasing a replacement copy at a bookstore.
To search for books available in the Roberts Media Center, go to DESTINY QUEST, our online catalog.
