  • See Venus For Free!

The planet Venus is super bright in the western sky after sunset this week.  You can't miss it, unless its cloudy, there are too many trees, you look the wrong way or you look at the side of a building.  Check out the article to help see where to find it.  It's just for fun...no assignment is attached to it.

    Distance Learning:  April 27-May 10

Check out the foldnfly website to get ideas for making paper airplanes.  Make an airplane and take it out to your back yard, the greenway, or somewhere where there are no cars/traffic, and you can continue to safely practice social distancing, and see how long the plane can stay aloft.  If you're unable to make the paper airplanes, that is okay.  The required assignment is a listed below.

    https://www.foldnfly.com/#/1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2

There is an article called "The Dynamics of Flight" on Readworks related to airplane flight that will be your assignment to be graded.  Click "Submit" after you read the article.  There are no associated questions.

    Dear Students,

I hope all of you are doing well under these very unique circumstances.  Please follow all CDC guidelines and do your part to help our local community and our nation get through this with as few cases as possible.

Core classes have been assigned work packets, but electives will not begin learning form home assignments until the week of April 13.  I will post the assignments before that date along with instructions.  The process of getting the work and submitting will be in line with what you're doing for your other classes.

My office hours will be from 2:00-4:00PM via email.  rodriguezd@leonschools.net

If you have not signed up for Remind yet, please do so.  Go to the SCMS website and there are instructions on how to do that.  Email me if you have any questions.

Please be kind to your parents!

    Mr. Rodriguez
