Welcome to Art News!!!!
The Art classes are in full swing! All of the classes are finishing their portfolios( the large folder that holds their work). Portfolios go home at the end of the year after I complete my end of the year portfolio review.
Project Art
The 5th grade electives have been chosen and the students will begin to go to these classes starting Friday the 4th of September. I always look forward to the exciting projects that we create in Project Art.
Artistic Impressions Leadership Team
I am very excited about the new Artistic Impressions Leadership Team!
The team will meet on Wednesdays from 2:50 to 3:50 in the art room. The students who have been selected for this 9 weeks have already received their invitation. We will work creatively with art and gardening! Mr. Ashby and I will co -lead with Mrs. Nix helping us! The team was created to beautify the school inside and out. Since we will be working with messy things please "dress for the mess" on these days.
Our first meeting is Wednesday, September 2nd. All students will meet in the art room. Rides must be provided and pick up is at 3:50.
