I teach all music classes for kindergarten through fifth grade.  I started teaching at Killearn Lakes in 1989, 4 years after it opened.  Prior to that, I taught at both Sabal Palm and in Orlando.  My undergraduate degree is in music performance on oboe and piano.  My master's degree is in music education K through college.

My husband, Gene has music degrees in piano performance and composition and is a huge help preparing and presenting programs.  He plays numerous instruments, makes sound tracks, enhances the sound system, works with actors and makes props.  He actually wrote the script and most of the music for the May 2016 Golden Singer spring musical, "Another Story of the 3 Little Pigs", 2017 "Good Day, Sunshine" and 2018 "Wake Up, Jacob", and 2020 "The Cat Came Back".

My daughter, Brianna is a proud graduate of Killearn Lakes.  She has a violin performance degree from FSU and performed professionally in 7 north Flordia/Georgia orchestras for several years. She has also written numerous film scores for FSU Film School BA and MA students' productions. Brianna relocated to Los Angeles in September 2019.  She is working in the film score industry and actually has her name in the credits of the new release of "Mulan"!!  So exciting!
