Degrees and Certifications:

Lois Burnette

I grew up in Lakeland, Florida and was one of eight children. I knew from a very early age that I wanted to be a school teacher. I have always loved children and knew that I wanted to spend my life helping them gain a love for learning and helping them reach their full potential.

This is my 30th year of teaching! Most of those years have been spent teaching first and second grade. I taught at Kate Sullivan Elementary before coming to Roberts when it opened 15 years ago. I consider Roberts my second home. I am married to my biggest supporter, Rick. We have two daughters, one is an Engineering graduate student at Georgia Tech, and the other is an International Affairs student at FSU!!! (Go Noles!) They love to come back to Roberts to visit and help in my classroom.

As a parent, I know how crucial it is to be informed about your child’s education.  I feel that the most important thing that we can do to help your child reach their full potential and to become a life-long learner, is to work together to meet their needs. I will do everything that I can to teach them the things that they need to learn to be successful in first grade. I know that with us working together this can be a fantastic year! Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns throughout the year.
