Mission and Vision Statement

The Second Chance mission is to provide a learning environment that allows elementary, middle, and high school students to experience behavior success. Our goal is to provide an educational foundation that promotes integrity, self-worth, and lifelong learning that fosters healthy, productive, responsible members of society.
School Hours

School Hours: 9:30 a.m. - 3:50 p.m.
Breakfast: 9:00 a.m. - 9:25 a.m.
Supervision Hours: 8:45 a.m - 4:15 p.m.
Office Hours: 7:45 a.m - 4:15 p.m.

Dress Code

Pants / Shorts / Skirts:
- Students may wear blue, black, gray, khaki, white, or denim in those colors.
- Additional shorts (including athletic shorts or 'ballers') are not permitted.
- Rips and tears must be below the knee (leggings can be worn to cover skin above the knee).
- Shorts must have at least a 5" inseam and skirts must have shorts underneath.
- Bottoms must be button-zipper style pants, shorts or skirt with belt loops.
- Must be worn around the student’s waistline (no sagging).
- No pajama pants, lounge/yoga pants, joggers, sweatpants, leggings, jeggings, etc.
Shirts – Black or Gray Collar Shirt (polo style)
- No decorations, advertisements, or other insignia.
- No see-through shirts.
- Students must be able to lift their arms in their shirts without exposing their midriffs.
- Official school t-shirt can be worn any day
Shoes: Closed toe with back strap
Jackets and sweatshirts must be solid gray or black with no decorations or insignias.
- Official school sweatshirt or solid gray or black sweatshirt can be worn as desired
- There must be a 'dress-code approved' shirt under any permitted outer wear worn
- Clothing items with a hood are not permitted on campus.
- Beanie hats may be worn during winter weather
- Head coverings are not allowed (including scarves, wraps, etc.)
- Headbands under 3" thick for fashion or edge control are permitted.
Spending money on campus:
- No more than $20 will be allowed.
- Any additional money brought on campus will be held in a labeled envelope by administration until the end of the day.
Uniform shirts may be purchased online. Links will be sent via Focus when the store is open.
School administration has the final determination of what is considered appropriate dress.
